WHAT IS (SFI) MG?
SFI (Strong Future
International) Marketing Group
If you are already an SFI Affiliate, more than
likely you have seen the introductions on SFI outlining its’ beginnings and
what it is all about. However, as some readers may not have, and to break the
ice with this my post, below is an extract taken from the SFI web site:
SFI (Strong Future
International) Marketing Group was
launched in 1998. Starting with just one product, sold only in the United
States, SFI has now grown to more than 100,000 products and services (and
growing daily), sold in more than 190 countries around the world.
SFI was created to allow anyone
with a computer and internet access the opportunity to tap into the world-wide
e-commerce revolution. Anyone of legal age in his or her country can become an
SFI affiliate for free by filling out an online registration form.
There is no obligation or
purchase requirements of any kind required.
Once registered, affiliates are
provided with professional websites for marketing SFI’s products on the
internet, known as ‘Gateways’. SFI also provides all necessary sale support
services, such as customer service, payment processing, and product shipment –
all at no cost to the affiliate. For each sale generated, SFI pays the
referring affiliate a commission. Additional commissions can be earned by
building and leading affiliate groups.
Stability & Longevity
The mark of a successful
company can be seen in its track record. SFI is now in its 18th year, with
millions of dollars in annual sales and millions paid in commissions to
thousands of affiliates around the world. SFI’s parent company, Carson
Services, Inc., is now in its 29th year of business, is a Bronze (10+ years) Member of
the Better Business Bureau, and is registered with Dun & Bradsheet. SFI affiliates
operate with the peace of mind brought about by associating with a proven,
debt-free organisation, with a long, successful history.
Company Leadership
SFI President and CEO, and
founder of SFI, is Gery Carson. From 1985 to 1998, Gery was a top marketer and
record-breaking distributor for several direct sales companies and a successful
business magazine publisher. Known for his innovation, Gery has been a
pioneering force in the direct mail and internet marketing industries for more
than two decades.
His
extraordinary achievements as an entrepreneur have been spotlighted in ‘Money
Maker’s Monthly’, ‘Upline’, ‘Opportunity World Magazine’, and in numerous books
and videos. National recognition has also included being named in 1992’s

- Getting Started
There are several ways to get
started in SFI, either being referred by family or friends, seeing it
advertised somewhere on the internet, advertised on a billboard, or simply
stumbling upon it (like I did). How you got there is not important, but what
you do next is extremely important. Basically you will be one of 3 types of
people:
1. A ‘tyre-kicker’ –
just having a look to see what it is all about, and probably have no real
interest in becoming an affiliate. You won’t proceed any further
2. A ‘referral’ -
someone who has been referred to SFI by maybe a friend or family member, may or
may not be interested in affiliate marketing, but will have a quick look
anyway. You may think it is OK and give it a go, but you may also just become a
‘tyre-kicker’
3. A ‘Go-Getter’ - you
will instantly realise that SFI is for real, and that it will genuinely pay you
for your efforts. You will become an SFI Affiliate and probably go on to become
a Team Leader
Hopefully, you are a
‘Go-Getter’, you are the type of person that makes SFI successful, and you are
the type of person that will become successful in SFI. But how do you become
successful, with all that information and training surrounding you, where do
you start?

then i will to you explain the single most important aspect of SFI,
VersaPoints
VP (as they are commonly
referred to within SFI) are what you receive every time you complete a ‘Task’,
and they are the backbone of the SFI affiliate status and payment structure.
They are awarded for ‘Actions’ (Type A – Action Points) and ‘Sales’ (Type S –
Sales Points). I will refer to these often throughout this post, how you earn
them will be covered in my next post – VersaPoints Sales VP and Action VP
Below
is a list of bullet points which are a must-do in your first month with SFI,
they are essential for setting the basis of your new business:
Firstly, and quite importantly,
read ALL the Launchpad emails, they are a step-by-step guide to getting you
established in SFI, and help you learn the very basics. You will receive one
Launchpad email each day for the first 30 days, simply read it and answer the
quick question at the end, you will earn 15 VP’s for each email, and learn
something very valuable in the process. If you are very quick at absorbing a
lot of information, you don’t have to actually wait each day for the email. If
you prefer, you can simply click on the green Button in the top right hand
corner of the Home Page and then click on each Launchpad as listed.
Points for these actions can be
received once only.
There are 19 ‘Getting-Started
Actions’, and they are all very easy to complete actions that require only a
few minutes to complete each. There is a total of 955 VP’s available for
completing all these tasks, so make sure that as you have time that you click
on and complete each task. All these tasks are very self-explanatory, so I
don’t need to go into any detail here to explain how to go about completing
them, other than to say that any tasks that have an asterisk (*) beside the VP’s,
you must click the green ‘V’ in the top right corner of the page to be awarded
the points.
Points for these actions can be
received once only.
Log into SFI every day, on the
Home Page you will see a row of Red Tabs,
You should click on each one of
these individually and complete the requested actions. For every Red Tab
clicked you will receive 1 VP, but there are a couple of tips about which order
you click on these red tabs, as follows:
1> Click on the tab first, then
click on the button. This will generate some answers to the various questions
asked, click on the or button as to whether you thought the answer was helpful
or not. Once you have voted on 10 answers you will receive 1 VP, but if you
vote on another 20 answers you receive an extra entry in the Daily Grand
Prize Draw, so I suggest you do this
2> Click on the tab, have a
quick read, check if there is any Latest News or Latest Posts that interest
you. As you will see this is not a red tab, so there are no VP’s attached for
reading this page, but it is still a good idea to have a browse of what is
available to read on there, as there is a lot of very good points raised here
3> The tab is one of your
‘Scoreboards’, basically an Actions Scoreboard (I will show you the other Scoreboard’s
later in this post). You can instantly see whether you have completed all your
allotted tasks here or not. Once I have finished all my daily tasks I always
come back to this tab and check that I haven’t missed any points.

bottom of the page, you will receive 1 VP for doing so
4> Click on the button,
there are some awesome tips and features on how to do things here some days, so
take note of them.

9> Click on the button to be

Chapter Twelve – Ranking System). There is also your Power Rank and Sponsor
Ratings, together with your status in the E365 competition . Most
important of all though, this tab also tells you HOW MUCH YOU ARE EARNING for
the month to date.
A
new powerful feature of this Tab is that you can now see how many more Sales VP
and/or PSA Requirements needed to advance to the next rank
Click on the button at the
bottom of the page, you will receive 1 VP for doing so
11> Click on the tab, you
can filter this list to see who in your down-line are the ‘movers-and-shakers’,
ie those that are committed to SFI and obviously treating it as a business.
This is one of the most important tools available to Team Leaders, you can
instantly recognise those affiliates who will duplicate what you do, those you
want to coach and mentor further. Why? Because if they duplicate what you do
they will increase their down-line and then mentor their ‘movers-and-shakers’
the same way. As that momentum increases and your down-lines increase your
earnings increase exponentially.

bottom of the page, you will receive 1 VP for doing so
12> Click on the tab, this
is basically a numbers page, gives all sorts of statistical information. I am
not going to go into this page in any detail, just have a look around it and get
a feel for the numbers, you will quickly become aware of the sheer size of SFI.
You will see a list of the newest achievers in SFI, click on the CONGRATULATE
button, make them feel recognised (I certainly remember how good I felt seeing
my name on that list as the Newest Silver Team Leader and all the
congratulations I received, you will too when your time comes).
Click on the button at the
bottom of the page, you will receive 1 VP for doing so
13> Click on the tab, this
is where you can check your progress with the Monthly Goals you set for
yourself at the start of each month. Are you on track, or have you set your
goals too high or too low? Be realistic when setting your Monthly Goals,
don’t make it far too easy to achieve, set yourself realistic but challenging
targets. Then when you reach your goals you will get a real sense of
achievement and your enthusiasm will stay intact. On the other hand, don’t set Monthly
Goals which are simply out of reach, because if you don’t reach them you
will get disheartened and probably give up on SFI, and you definitely don’t
want to do that!! I found that as each month passed I could slowly increase my
goals, mainly because as I was learning new steps I was also becoming more
established, I was becoming a good sponsor and building my business. This is
one of the secrets of SFI, your business certainly won’t be a huge success
overnight, you have to slowly build it up as you learn and grow into it. You
will also see your Long Term Goals on this page that you set when you
first joined, another little tool to see if you are on target to reaching your
dreams.
Put a comment in the ‘Text Box’
at the bottom of the page as to what you did to achieve your monthly SFI goals
( usually something simple like ‘visited red tabs’, ‘participated in
‘Pricebenders Auction’, or ‘sponsored a new ECA’.
Click on the button at the
bottom of the page, you will receive 1 VP for doing so

Click on the tab and join in-depth discussions of SFI news, products, programs,
and more with your fellow SFI affiliates. Brainstorm and share tips and ideas.
Start new threads. Get your questions answered 24/7, become a forum guru, and
more! To earn that day’s Forum Action VP, click on a thread of interest to you
and spend a minimum 15 seconds at the thread, but hopefully you’ll spend MUCH
longer. Remember that the fastest way to build a successful business is to work
smarter…and the easiest way to get smarter is to LEARN from the numerous SFI
experts at SFI’s exclusive knowledge resources like the SFI Forum and Ask SC 15>
Click on the tab, then click on the button (you can also enter the Daily Grand
draw from the page). You will see how many entries you have in the draw, ensure
it says you have received one extra entry for rating 30+ Ask SC questions, if
it doesn’t say this then you should go back to the tab and complete the voting
before entering the daily competition. NOTE: If you have a minimum 1500 VP
Standing Order, you receive yet another extra entry

Once you have completed ALL the above tasks, I recommend you click back
on the tab and check that you have received all the VP’s for all the Daily
Tasks. Check that for all the 1-VP Actions you have the same number of VP’s as
the current date ie if the date is the 21st
you should have accumulated 21 VP’s
(providing you have been doing this
every day). Remember, if you
don’t do some of the Daily Actions on any given day, you CANNOT go back
and do them at a later date, so ensure you complete these actions EVERY DAY.
That is it, those are the very
basics of getting started, and apart from the Launchpad emails (which you
should complete in the first 30 days), they are the tasks you should complete
every day if you wish to become well established within SFI. Aim to achieve
Executive Affiliate (EA) level as soon as possible, by earning enough VP’s
(1500). This will increase your earning potential of your SFI business. It is
possible to become an EA in your first month simply by completing all the
getting started tasks and qualifying for ‘Fast Track’ points (see below) and
completing all the Launchpad training lessons.
Fast-Track Points - to become a
Fast-Track Member, a new SFI affiliate must:
1. Complete the five Fast-Track
actions in the Getting Started section of your To-Do List (look for the green
or red JET icons). Note: Jets will not be displayed if you’ve already
completed the associated actions or you’re past the 10-day Fast-Track
eligibility window.
2. Generate a minimum of $20
USD in sales and/or purchases within your first 10 days in SFI. Choose from
over 90,000 products available at TripleClicks.
That's it!

OK, so we have laid the
foundations of your new SFI business, now let’s look at some more vital actions
you should also be taking. There are 5 categories to be covered (6 categories
but we have already covered ‘Daily Actions’), and they are all found on your
To-Do tab:

& Support
Let me break these actions down
and explain more in detail, as there are some extremely good VP’s on offer in
all these categories:
There are 2 Weekly actions you
should undertake, not only are they great for earning VP’s, but they are also a
vital communication tool amongst yourself and your down-lines.
PSA Mailer, CSA mailer,
Genealogy group Mailer – from your Genealogy Report (see Chapter Twenty –
Reports) you are able to filter your down-line into many reports, for example
all your PSA’s or all your CSA’s, those affiliates who have been inactive,
those that have been very active (by the number of VP’s they have earned),
etc., etc., there are numerous filters available. So from this report you can
decide which group of affiliates in your down-line you wish to communicate
with, depending on what particular topic you wish to discuss. Like any business
communication is essential to being successful, SFI is no different. You are
able to earn 20 VP’s once a week from sending out a mailer (of course you can
send more if you wish, but I think one a week is more than sufficient, too many
emails have the tendency to work against you in the long run). I vary my topics
each week, one week I may contact all my CSA’s, the next week only my PSA’s,
and quite often my entire down-line. Another good mailer is to those who have
been inactive for a period of time, I simply touch base with them and ask them
if there is anything I can help them with. Sometimes this is all that is needed
to get them motivated again, especially if you offer some reward (see Chapter
Sixteen – Rewards and Incentives).
Use this tool wisely, it is
probably the most important resource available to you
Stream Post – this is
where you can add little snippets of information that will appear to all your
downline. This is a great tool for congratulating those in your
downline who have reached
milestones within SFI ie attained the rank of EA (Executive Affiliate) or TL
(Team Leader – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) for the first time, or
re-qualifying in the following months. This is all about recognition, people
love seeing their name in bright lights, and it motivates them to achieve again
and again. Remember, if they succeed, then you succeed, so give them all the
recognition and motivation they deserve. They in turn will repay you in terms
of effort and commitment, and when they duplicate what you do, your downline
will grow down many levels, and this is where the real money is!! Sometimes I
just use the Stream Post to provide a small quote, usually about
something motivational, just to mix it up a little. You are able to earn 3 VP each
week, one point each for 3 posts. You are permitted to send more than this, but
you will only receive VP for the first 3 posts, and like Mailers above,
I personally think 3 posts per week is more than sufficient, but that is
entirely your choice.
There are only 3 Monthly
Actions required, completing the Ratings Form, setting your Monthly
Goals and for reviewing your Member TConnect Page:
Ratings Form – this is
where you rank your sponsor’s effectiveness and performance. Each month, PSA’s
are asked to anonymously rate their sponsors, and the responses are combined to
produce an average rating or score for each SFI Sponsor. Those sponsors who
have garnered the best ratings to date appear in the Top Sponsor Leaderboard.
(Note: A minimum of FIVE ratings is required to appear on the Leaderboard). You
will earn 10 VP per month for performing this action.
Setting Your Monthly Goals
– refer to Chapter Three – Getting Started (Point #11), this is well
explained there. You will receive 5 VP each month for performing this action,
but note, you must set your goals by the 10th
of each month.
Reviewing Your Member
TConnect Page – simply click on the link and review your TConnect Page,
make any amendments that may be required, that is it. You will receive 5 VP
each month for performing this action.
There are 25 ‘Intermediate
Actions’, and like the ‘Getting-Started Actions’ they are very simple to
complete and not very time-consuming.
1. 20 of the actions are worth
10 VP’s each, and these are earned simply by reviewing several indexes and
articles which are vital in giving you an understanding of how SFI works, they
give in-depth explanations of every facet of SFI, so take your time and read
them all very carefully. It is also advisable to re-visit these indexes and
articles at a later date, this way you will keep your memory fresh and
up-to-date with the workings of SFI, this makes life very easy when your
down-line asks you questions and is seeking your advice. I personally make a
point of teaching myself something new (or researching old material) every
second day, that way I am fully conversant with every aspect of SFI, and I am
therefore in a knowledgeable position to coach and mentor my down-line
affiliates with confidence. This will also help you become an ‘Awesome Sponsor’
(see Chapter Fifteen – Awesome Sponsor).
2. 500 VP’s for getting a Payoneer

Various VP are available for submitting the most popular/second/third most
popular ‘Ask SC’ answer (Note: must be EA2 rank or above). Most popular answers
receive 100 VP; second most popular answers receive 50 VP; third most popular
answers receive 25 VP. Unlimited points available! The ‘Ask SC’ section is a
valuable learning tool for ALL affiliates, so share your thoughts with
the SFI community by answering questions on topics you are competent in or have

5.
20 VP are available for setting up an Advertising Co-Op for your team. Co-op
advertising is a popular and VERY powerful method of advertising in which two
or more people share the cost of advertising and the resulting benefits. It
allows team members to pool their dollars together to advertise, and then share

6. 15 VP are available for
creating and uploading your TripleClicks Avatar
That is all the ‘Intermediate
Actions’, my suggestion is to try and complete all (with the exception of
Co-Ops, which can be completed many times over) of these within the first month
(2 months maximum), as there are some valuable learnings here, especially in
the Indexes and Articles. This is also a very easy way to amass VP’s and
achieve the rank of Executive Affiliate (EA) or Team Leader (TL) within the
first month, you are then very much on track to build your SFI business and
increase your earnings.
OK, this is one of the areas
where the serious VP’s get earned, as there are UNLIMITED POINTS available
here:
1. TripleClicks Purchases –
TripleClicks is SFI’s international superstore, featuring more than 90,000
products and services (at time of printing), with hundreds more being added
weekly to buy and sell, including collectibles, closeouts, hard-to-find items,
daily ‘deal of the day’ bargains, and much more. As an SFI affiliate, you are
also automatically a TC member, with access to thousands of products, sales
tools, and more. As you shop at TripleClicks you earn Sales VP, and obviously
the number of VP earned each month is the basis of which rank you achieve (and
also increases your earnings). Refer to Chapter Twelve – Ranking System.
Remember, this is YOUR store, so promote and shop TripleClicks regularly and be
sure to refer your prospective customers to your TC Gateway, this is exactly
how to build your SFI business and increase your earnings.
2. TripleClicks Sales – this
is Sales VP’s earned from TripleClicks products purchased by either your TC
Members (those members you have personally
introduced to TripleClicks) or
any of your down-line affiliates (PSA’s or CSA’s). Over time, as you introduce
more TC Members and increase your down-lines through new PSA’s and CSA’s, then
obviously your earnings here will increase also.
3. E-Commerce Associate
(ECA) – earn 100 VP’s for each approved/activated ECA you refer to
TripleClicks. Points are awarded when the ECA submits their first product
listing. For more information on the ECA Referral Program, refer to Chapter
Seventeen – ECA Program and Referrals.
4. TripleClicks Product
Reviews - earn 25 VP’s for each product rating/review. This is ONLY on
physical products and all TC Direct products (including digital products).
Thirty days (45 days for International members) after ordering a product (15
days for digital products) at TripleClicks.com, you'll be requested to rate and
review the product. Points are awarded upon submission of each completed
rating/review. To determine if you have pending reviews/ratings to do, just log
in at Tripleclicks.com, click the "Member Centre" link in the top
right, and select the "Review Centre" link.
That concludes all the
‘TripleClicks’ actions, some of which you earn Sales VP’s for and some
of which you earn Action VP’s for, and it is important to realise the
difference in these two types of VP’s. For further information on this, refer
to Chapter Five – VersaPoints Sales VP’s and Action VP’s.
You will probably now have
realised that TripleClicks.com is one of the vital components of the SFI
structure, as without sales there simply is no affiliate platform to work from.
So this is one area you should concentrate immensely on when you become a SFI
Affiliate, generating sales of TripleClicks.com products.
There are various VP available
for when you support PSA’s in your down-line, and these VP are earned when a
PSA re-qualifies as an EA or Team Leader. These VP are an incentive for you to
coach and mentor your PSA’s to ensure they re-qualify each month, and are part
of you being an Awesome Sponsor (refer to Chapter Fifteen – Awesome
Sponsor). The various VP on offer are as follows:
1. 100 VP for support of each
personally sponsored EA2 (Executive Affiliate)
2. 200 VP for support of each
personally sponsored BTL (Bronze Team Leader)
3.
300 VP for support of each personally sponsored STL (Silver Team Leader)
4.
400 VP for support of each personally sponsored GTL (Gold Team Leader)
5.
500 VP for support of each personally sponsored PTL (Platinum Team Leader)
6. 600 VP for support of each
personally sponsored PTL (Diamond Team Leader)
There are also 5 VP available
in this section for each affiliate you reassign to a team member. This is
something you probably won’t need to get involved with in your early days with
SFI, so I am not going to go into any detail about how and why you do this. It
is far better explained, and in great detail, in the Reference Section on the
